What is Integrated English as a New Language?

Integrated ENL classes provide students with both core content instruction and English language development. These classes incorporate students' home/primary language as support and utilize appropriate ENL instructional strategies to enhance comprehension.  Integrated ENL classes are taught by a dually certified teacher (ENL and content area) or co-taught by a certified ENL teacher and a certified content area teacher.
